The other day, as my wife and I looked at the graveyard of cars downstream from Main Street after the enormous flood in Ellicott City, as we thought of the homes, the shops and the lives lost just last week, she commented “And this is the river we love.”

We specialize in comprehensive mental health services, short- and long-term counseling and therapy; executive function coaching; academic testing and ADHD for children, teens and adults; comprehensive programs for transitioning young adults, as well as psychiatry for all ages.
We serve children as young as five years old, teenagers, young adults transitioning to work or college, and adults.
This includes couples, parents and families, as well as individuals for personal work and growth, work-related groups and other professionals for training on specialty mental health topics.
In addition to ADHD, some of the conditions we treat include mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder, mania); social anxiety; panic disorder; and trauma.
Patients from Columbia, MD, and the central Maryland region of Howard, Montgomery, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Prince George's and Frederick counties find our offices convenient for their ongoing mental health care.
One of our specialties is Heron's Gate, a program for struggling young adults. Heron's Gate is an intensive, wrap-around approach designed to help struggling young adults (18-30 year olds) and their families in the transition to independence.
