Meet Maura Mulloy, Ph.D

Maura Mulloy

Maura Mulloy, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist, mindfulness teacher, researcher, and author of Resilience-Building Schools for At-Risk Youth. She is the director of research and development at the Thrive Center, where she co-runs a parent support group, teaches mindfulness, and works clinically with young adults and their parents. She is the mother of three young daughters.

In her mindfulness therapy sessions, she provides a supportive listening space and helps clients learn a mindfulness practice to:

  • Deepen their capacity to cope with anxiety and depression,
  • Enhance their resilience to life's stressors, and
  • Allow them to attune to their innermost strengths and yearnings in order to bring their true selves more fully out into the world.

Dr. Mulloy received her B.A. from Yale University, her Ph.D. from The Catholic University of America, and her post-doctoral training from University of Maryland at Baltimore's Center for School Mental Health.
