Meet Kate Snyder, M.S.Ed

Kate Snyder

Kate Snyder, M.S.Ed, graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY- New Paltz) with degrees in education and theatre. She went on to complete a Master's Degree in special education at Johns Hopkins University.

She has provided educational, behavioral and advocacy services for children through young adults on the Autistic Spectrum for 30 years. For 19 years, Kate was a special education teacher in Anne Arundel County Maryland, where she provided services for children from birth through early adolescence. She conducted assessments and created and implemented IEP's for children with a variety of disabilities and participated as a member of multidisciplinary teams.

Following her tenure in public education, Kate moved to providing family education and direct services in the private sector meeting the needs of children, adolescents, and young adults on the Autistic Spectrum.

Kate has always approached her work using a family systems model. She is passionate about assisting families to navigate the systems that are available to meet the unique needs of each individual.
