Meet Christina Knepper, LCSW-C

Christina Knepper, LCSW-CChange is a journey that’s different for everyone; it is difficult, intimidating and it’s never an easy feat. No matter who you are or what you’ve been through, choosing to change your life is a very courageous step!

As a Clinical Social Worker, I have experience working with youth, teens, young adults and families and it’s my priority to tailor my approach to each individual and family need. By utilizing a multi-cultural perspective and being culturally responsive, I’m able to develop strong connections with others. I believe this skill-set is important as it supports clients in meeting their personal goals, as well as develops trusting and healthy relationships with outside of counseling.

For 12 years, I’ve worked in school settings delivering group and individual therapy to individuals between the ages of 7-21 years old. I have experience working with those challenged by ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression, mood regulation, divorce & separation, life transitions, and with those who struggle with grief & loss.

My style incorporates a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing approaches. I have found these approaches useful in helping people sort through barriers to personal growth. Together, we will navigate the obstacles and map a plan to reach your personal goals.

I am a 2004 MSW graduate from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I also like spending time outdoors.
